"Good books, but I don’t fully trust the stock anymore"
I did find some good classroom books here, but a few of the popular titles I needed were out of stock. I had to check back later, which was frustrating. The selection is decent when they have things available, but after this, I don’t really trust that what I’m looking for will actually be there.

I did have to ask once, but... the refund came through just a few days later. it was quicker than I thought it would be

"Really easy catalog to use"
I was able to find the books I needed fast. I mean, at first I thought I might have to dig around a bit, but no, the catalog was easy to figure out and I didn’t get confused.

"Feels safe so far"
I’ve been getting login alerts, it makes me feel a lot better about my account being safe. It’s one of those little things you don’t think much about until you see it working—then you’re like, okay, good, someone would probably notice if something weird happened.

"Nice email balance, easy to manage"
I signed up for scholastic emails mostly assuming I’d just want the book deals and occasional school-related updates, and that’s pretty much what I’ve been getting. They come often enough that I don’t feel like I’m missing sales or reminders, but not so often that I’m rolling my eyes every time I open my inbox.
I also figured the unsubscribe stuff might be buried like it is with a lot of email lists, but the links and preferences are actually easy to find. Overall, it’s one of the less annoying mailing lists I’m on, which I appreciate

"I ordered a few books from Scholastic..."
I ordered a few books from Scholastic, and the package showed up in decent shape overall. Nothing looked mishandled beyond the usual bumps you’d expect during shipping.

One corner of the box was a little bent, but the books inside were completely fine. No torn covers, bent pages, or anything like that, which is really what matters.

I’m giving it 4 stars because a little extra padding probably wouldn’t hurt, especially if someone orders a bigger stack of books. But common sense-wise, the packaging did its job and everything arrived safely.

"Picked up a bunch of books…"
Picked up a bunch of books for my kids and didn’t spend much at all... the prices were fair, and the value was really good. Definitely happy with what I got.

"Pretty simple to use"
scholastic was easy for me to figure out. I found the book fair section and kids’ books without having to click around forever, which was nice. The checkout pages loaded fine too, and the whole thing only took a few minutes. Straightforward overall, no real complaints from me.

"The selection is decent overall, but…"
The selection is decent overall, but yeah, I kinda wish there was a bit more variety to choose from.

"Helpful reading levels, but the fit can be off"
I use scholastic often when I’m looking for books for my kid, especially because the reading levels are listed. It’s helpful to have that as a starting point when I don’t really know what to pick next, and it saves me some time compared to guessing completely.
That said, I’ve noticed some books feel way easier or harder than the level shown, so I still end up checking samples or reading reviews before buying. It’s not a huge deal, but it seems like a preventable issue if the levels were reviewed a little more carefully. Overall, it helps, but I don’t trust the match every single time, so I’d say it’s about 3 stars for me.

"Book club feels like more work than it should"
I like the books and the kids get excited about them, but managing the book club on scholastic.com has been kind of a hassle. Orders aren’t always easy to see, parent payments can get confusing, and the site feels slow when I’m trying to wrap everything up. I’ve had to go back and double check things more times than I should. It does work in the end, but a lot of the frustration feels totally avoidable.

"Customer service was quicker than I expected"
I had a problem with my Scholastic order because the shipping info wasn’t showing up right, so I emailed customer service thinking it was probably going to take forever—or actually, I figured I might not hear back for a couple days at least.
They got back to me the same day, and it didn’t feel like some generic copy-paste reply. The person actually read what I wrote, helped fix the issue, and even sent an update afterward. It was a simple fix, but it made the whole thing way less stressful.

"Helpful for finding books for my kid"
I’ve been liking that Scholastic lets you look at books by age and grade, because that makes it less of a guessing game for me. My kid is 8, and it’s just easier to find books that are not too hard but also not baby-ish, if that makes sense. So far I haven’t had anything show up that felt weirdly too grown-up, which is nice

"Most of the book titles and descriptions..."
Most of the book titles and descriptions matched what actually showed up, and the age info was useful for picking stuff for my kid’s class. I’m kind of tired of having to double-check every little thing when ordering online, so it was a relief that there weren’t any weird surprises. One description was a bit vague about what came in the set, so I did have to look twice, but overall it was accurate enough and easy to trust.

"Payment works, but it can make me nervous"
Most of the time the payment goes through fine, but every now and then it freezes after I hit submit. Since I’m usually buying books for class, that little delay makes me worry the order didn’t work. It did go through in the end, but the hanging part is a bit stressful.

"The invoice matched my order and I didn’t..."
The invoice matched my order and I didn’t see any random charges or strange totals, which was a relief. It was easy to go through and saved me from having to chase anything down. I wouldn’t say it was amazing or anything, but it did what it needed to do, so I’m happy enough with it.

"I’ve been going through the lessons and overall…"
I’ve been going through the lessons and overall they’ve been helpful. The explanations are easy enough to follow, and I’ve actually picked up a few things along the way. That said, every now and then I’d land on a page that felt like it hadn’t been updated in a while, which kind of stood out. Not a huge deal, but a little refresh would make the whole experience feel smoother.

"Books arrived a bit more beat up than I expected"
I ordered a few kids’ books, the box showed up crushed. Two of the books had bent corners, and one of the covers was scratched. They’re still readable, so it’s not the end of the world, but it wasn’t really what I was hoping for from Scholastic.

"Classroom orders felt so much easier this time"
I used scholastic.com to put together my classroom book orders, it made the whole process feel way less stressful. It was one of those tools that just gave me confidence right away because everything was clear and easy to follow.
All the students’ orders were in one place, so I wasn’t stuck sorting through paper slips or double-checking my math over and over. I even caught one small mistake before submitting, which made me feel a lot better about sending it in.

Shipping was straightforward, and the order showed up just like expected. As a busy teacher, I really appreciated how simple it made a task that usually feels like a hassle

"I had to return a book set..."
I had to return a book set I ordered from scholastic.com, and overall it was okay. I was kind of in a rush to get it sorted, so the extra wait for the refund felt a little frustrating. The return instructions were clear enough, but the refund ended up taking about a week longer than I expected. Customer service did get back to me, though, so it wasn’t a huge problem in the end.
